7 Days from Casablanca to Desert invites you to discover the beauty of Morocco in just 7 days. The country has so many wonderful things to see and do. Though the country seems small on the map, but it is big in the earth.
Day 1 Arrival in Casablanca – Marrakech
Arrival at Casablanca airport, reception by our staff in Spanish. Visit the Hassan II mosque, the most famous mosque in the kingdom of Morocco. Then we will head towards Marrakech. Arrival at the hotel. Bed and breakfast.
Day 2: Marrakech -Ksar Telouet – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate
Departure direction Ouarazazate. We will cross the High Atlas mountains, where we will visit the Telouet Kasbah, the palace of the ‘Lord of the Atlas’. When descending from the Atlas we will enter the territory of the desert berredes. We will visit the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, declared a world heritage site by UNESCO and famous for being the scene of cinematographic blockbusters such as the Oscar-winning ‘Lawrence of Arabia’, ‘The Protective Sky’ or ‘Babel’. Arrival in Ouarzazate also called the Hollywood of Morocco. Night in a riad with charm.
Day 3: Ouarzazate – Gorges of Todra – Desert of Merzouga
The route now crosses the Valley of Roses and continues through the Dades Valley. We will arrive at Boumalne Dades, a Berber village famous for its towering gorges and its views of the Atlas, now on the horizon. Departure to Tinghir ‘the city of the mountain’ in Tamazight, another beautiful Berber village where we will delight in the contrast of its palm trees and its pink houses.
The landscape changes, we are in the gorges of Todra formed by walls of more than 200m. We will continue south, cross Erfoud and arrive at Rissani, the door of the desert of the Erg Chebbi and with a bustling medina not frequented by tourists, where nomads can be supplied. The parking of donkeys near the market is striking. 35 km Merzouga, a small village on the foot of the red dunes. We changed the 4 × 4 for dromedaries with which we will take a nice two-hour walk through the dunes until we reach the camp of haimas in the heart of the desert where we will receive according to the tradition of Sahara, with a Berber tea. Night in haimas under the stars of the desert.
Day 4: Desert – Erfoud – Ziz Valley – Fez
We will see the sunrise over the sea of dunes. After breakfast, we will return in camels to Merzouga and after a shower we will leave in 4 × 4 towards Valle del Ziz passing through Erfoud, known for its fossils, until we reach Midelt, an important town in the Middle Atlas where we will have lunch and continue the journey until we reach Fez, passing through Ifran ‘the Moroccan Switzerland’. Arrival in Fez. Night and breakfast in a charming riad.
Day 5: Fez- Fez
Free day to discover the streets of the medina, historical monuments, and crafts. Night and breakfast in a charming riad.
Day 6: Fes – Meknes – Marrakech
Breakfast. Exit through fertile valleys full of olive trees and vineyards until you reach Meknes. Visit of this city that reaches its apogee under the reign of Mulay Ismail, who made it his capital. The visit begins with the walls, with its magnificent doors like Bab Mansour. Then we will go to the Aghal pond, with an area of four hectares. The visit ends at the Mausoleum-Mosque of Moulay Ismail, stucco, stone, and fine porcelain and we will head towards the city of Marrakech. Night and breakfast
Day 7: Visit of Marrakech
Free day to discover the city of Marrakech and at the agreed time transfer to the airport. End of our services.
