We will also visit the Holy City of Morocco, Moulay Idriss. City perched on a rock dominates the valley of Oued Erroumane and the plain of Volubilis. We will continue until we reach our destination, Fez.
DAY 3: FEZ
Free day in Fez to know the city considered as the religious and cultural center of the country. When penetrating the streets of your medina (old city) we will feel that time recedes: the union structure is still present in the work, the narrowness of its streets does not allow other means of transport than donkeys and a constant tingling of people moves through the labyrinthine streets in the midst of which neighborhoods like the one of the Andalusians and magnificent mosques and Koranic schools will surprise us.
Famous, too, for the souk of the tanners, you can be part of the artisan procedure of medieval roots, through which they can give those vivid colors to the leather. Fez has always been associated with study and religiosity, and remains the spiritual capital of Morocco. After visiting the medina, another option is to walk aimlessly through the streets of Fez-Jdid, where the royal palace, the Mellah (Jewish quarter), and the oldest mosque in Fez are located.
DAY 4: FEZ – IFRANE – CEDROS FOREST – VALLE DE ZIZ – DESERT OF MERZOUGA – NIGHT IN HAIMAS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE DUNES
After breakfast, we will go south to cross the Middle Atlas Mountains to reach Ifrane, called ‘the little Moroccan Switzerland’ because of the great resemblance of the buildings to those of that country. One of the animals that once inhabited here was the Atlas lion, which is why it has become the symbol of the city and to which a stone statue has been dedicated in the center of it. We will take the opportunity to take some photos.
We will cross the famous cedar forests and we will be able to admire the Great Cedar Gouraud, the largest millenary cedar in the region, and also feed the hundreds of Gibraltar monkeys that live in the area. Lunch at Midélt or Rich and in the afternoon we will go through the Ziz Valley. More than 20 km of the palm grove and 10 million palm trees makes it one of the largest in the world.
Arrival in the desert of Merzouga and we left in a caravan of camels to enter the heart of the dunes and contemplate an unforgettable sunset. We will arrive with the dromedaries at the camp where we will stay in Jaimas, tents made with dromedary hair like those used by the desert nomads. Dinner and night in jaimas in the heart of the desert under a spectacular blanket of stars.

After about 3 hours of travel, we will arrive at Alnif and the Gorges of Toldra near the city of Tinerhir, at the end of a valley of palm trees and adobe villages, surrounded by steep and barren mountains. It is one of the most famous natural views of Morocco, about 300 meters of a wall along a kilometer. From here we will go to the Gorges of Dades.
